Hey mate here is your answer》》

I think that a big mistake a lot of westerners like me make is that they hear of Maitreya and they think “Oh so he’s basically the Buddhist version of Jesus, gotcha.”

The parallels between the two make this an easy mistake, but it’s still two entirely different concepts. The second coming of Jesus is an event where Jesus comes back around judgement day, and bring about eternal pace.

The Nicene Creed sums it up best: “...he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. ... We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come.”

So clearly Jesus’s title of ‘savior’ is well deserved in this role. So, what does Maitreya do? Well, Maitreya comes around when everybody has forgotten the “Dharma” (the Buddha’s teachings), become the next Buddha, and get the ‘wheel’ turning again.

That’s it. No eternal kingdom, no raising the dead, no salvation for the entire earth. Maitreya is an important figure, sure, but he’s not a “savior” like Jesus is portrayed to be. Maitreya has the very important role of keeping the path to enlightenment open, but we already have that. Rather than being a savior, he’s more of a back-up plan.

Many Christians care about the second coming of Christ. They want it to be sooner rather than later. I find that fewer Buddhists are hoping for, or even expecting, Maitreya’s appearance on earth, especially since the prophecy around his appearance involves the death of Buddhism. A good number even prefer to see him as a metaphor for compassion.

Hope this answer will help you..《《

Explanation:

This is partly due to the fact that Buddhists do not believe in any God who has created the world. Most other religions consider there to be a designer of the universe who was involved in the process of creation. According to Buddhist teaching, the Buddha refused to answer questions about the origins of the Earth.
