The way we see children get attached to there new toys,similarly even adults can get obsessed to things.

A term called reading mania can be defined by a sudden surge in reading of books by people because of increase in literacy rate . It creates more demand for books in the market.

It was in 17th and 18th century when the production cost for books was low and that made the public afford books quite easily.Multiple copies were made in order to meet the high demands of public.

It was seen that by the end of the 18th century literacy rates were as high as 60 to 80 percent in some parts of Europe.
