The Upanishads, a part of the Vedas, are ancient Sanskrit texts that contain some of the central philosophical concepts and ideas of Hinduism, some of which are shared with religious traditions like Buddhism and Jainism.

Upanishad means ‘To be near'. The disciples used to sit near the Guru and learn. But the most important meaning is ‘to come close t oneself'. This meaning I learnt from Acharya Prashant who conducts courses on scripues that takes one to ones own life. Wonderful discourses which will change the view one looks life and clarity dawns.
