pure substances refer to those substances that doesn't have any other substances except the desired substance. it must not include any sort of impurities or any other elements of the p.t.

suppose, we are talking about nacl, here no other components should be found to refer it as pure.

  • boiling point of impure substances is greater than the pure substances.
  • melting point of impure substances is less than pure substances
  • we can measure the purity of a substance through calculating it's density.
