although India is a self sufficient in the production of food material for its people but scientist believe that it would not last long as along with green revolution came alot of drawbacks for example excessive use of fertilizer not only increases the content of acid in soil but also causes water pollution. people are suggested to use natural fertilizers like cow dung to make their land fertile and rich in humus.
