Organisms which are single- celled or unicellular perform different functions of exchanging minerals and food in and out of the body.

They are :
1) DIFFUSION : It is the movement of molecules or particles and can occur in liquid and gaseous medium.

2) OSMOSIS : It is the movement of water molecules and it can occur in aqueous medium.
