If you look away from the Sun, blue light travelling from the Sun through the earth's atmosphere ( but not directly towards you ) is scattered by the molecules toward your eyes. Thus, the sky looks blue because scattering from molecules is much more probable for blue light than red.

Hey mate !!
Here's your answer :))
The light from d sun has to travel a long distance of d earth's atmosphere before reaching us. As light travels thought d atmosphere, it gets scattered in different directions by d air molecules present in its path. The blue (or violet) light due to its short wavelength is scattered more as compared to d red light of long wavelength. Thus d light reaching our eye directly from sun is red colour, while d light reaching our eye from all the other directions is d scattered blue light. Therefore the sky appears to be blue .
Hope this helps☺☺
