What do the indigenous populations (Local People) depend on the forest land for?

Hi,

In my view, most indigenous or the local people normally depend on the forest land as a sacred place but some others depends on the forest land as farm where they grow their various agricultural produce.

This is normally happening worldwide and I think it may not be specific to a certain group of people.

Local people depend on forest upon wild fruits that acts as food,local people depend on forest for honey when they make bee hives in the forest or when the acquire natural hives made bees themselves, also forest to local people is a home of wild animals that acts as a source of meat, forest is of great importance to local people as it also provides rainfall
