even though these official records tell us several intresting things they do not throw lights on the day to day life of the people in the country. for this we have to depend on another sources for example accounts of travellers,newspaper,writters of novelists and poets or even biographies of important people. even these accounts were mostly about literate people. they do not tell us much about the life of tribals , poor people and peasents. it is quite difficult to know about them

The official records does not represent the fall outs of British administration and also do not represent the reactions and situation of indians of every sphere of society.
