H2SO4 is the chemical formula for sulphuric acid. The symbol of hydrogen is H, of sulphur is S, while that of oxygen is O. So, H2SO4 denotes that one molecule of sulphuric acid consists of 2 atoms of hydrogen, one atom of sulphur and 4 atoms of oxygen.
