Bastille was a prison in Paris, France where dangerous criminals where jailed.It became an Important place during French revolution, because people stormed the fortress and let out all the prisoners.

It was a fort in the eastern part of Paris and was used as a prison . It was broken on 14th July , 1789 by the angry mob.
