answer:---A disaster is a sudden, calamitous event that seriously disrupts the functioning of a community or society and causes human, material, and economic or environmental losses destruction to life and property is called a disaster ..

disasters are of two types....

natural disasters and man made disasters ....

natural disasters : which occurs naturally... eg: cyclone, tsunami, earthquake etc...

man made disasters : which occurs due to human activities ...eg : accidents, terrorist attack,etc...
