during double circulation in human beings blood passes through heart twice for completing one cycle of circulation the double circulation includes the following process
1) pulmonary circulation.... in this circulation the deoxygenated blood is pushed by right ventricle to the lungs for oxygenation through Pulmonary artery .this oxygenated blood is then brought back to the left Atrium of the heart through pulmonary veins
2) systematic circulation ....in the circulation the oxygenated blood blood towards left Atrium goes to the left ventricle it is then passed on two different body parts through aorta

It is called a double circulatory system because blood passes through the heart twice per circuit. The right pump sends deoxygenated blood to the lungs where it becomes oxygenated and returns back to the heart. The left pump sends the newly oxygenated blood around the body.
