HLO

The most fundamental difference between nitrite and nitrate molecules is that while they both contain nitrogen and oxygen, the number of oxygen atoms is different. Both nitrate and nitrite molecules contain one nitrogen atom, but nitrates have three atoms of oxygen and nitrites have only two.

Then ,i m telling u about nitrate:

Nitrate is a polyatomic ion with the molecular formula NO⁻ ₃. Organic compounds that contain the nitrate ester as a functional group are also called nitrates. Nitrates are common components of fertilizers and explosives. Almost all nitrate salts are soluble in water.

Then ,also know about nitrite:

The nitrite ion, which has the chemical formula NO⁻ ₂. Nitrite is widely used throughout chemical and pharmaceutical industries. Nitrite anion is a pervasive intermediate in the nitrogen cycle in nature.
