it is the property of an object to oppose the flow of current. every object has its own resistivity.
OR
if length of the conductor is 1m and the area of crossection is 1m^2. then the resistivity is equal to resistance.

Resistivity is the resistance of cubical conductor whose each side is of 1 unit. SI unit of resistivity is ohm metre.
