Hii.........Right to information act (RTI) was passed in 2005. It gaves the citizens the rights to obtain reply to any query they have from the government as well as governments organisation. Under the RTI people have the right to seek information on any particular issue to understand how the government and public institutions perform. It is applicable throughout the country except Jammu and Kashmir... As a result government bodies have became more transparent and accountable in their style of working.
