A solenoid is a coil of insulated or enameled wire wound on a rod-shaped form made of solid iron, solid steel, or powdered iron. Devices of this kindcan be used as electromagnets, as inductors in electronic circuits, and as miniature wireless receiving antennas.

ĀNSWĒR ⏬⏬

 \bold{ \red{Solenoid}}

=> Solenoid is a cylindrical coil of many rightly wound turns of insulated copper wire.

Process:

=> When current is passed through ba solenoid , a magnetic field is produced in it . As
a direction of current in each coil is same the one of each coil behaves like south pole and another end as north pole. The magnetic field around a current carrying solenoid is similar to the magnetic field produced by a bar magnet.

___________________________________

KEY POINTS :

=> MAGNETIC FIELD IN SOLENOID DEPENDS UPON :

● directly proportional to number of turns in coil i.e B proportional to n.

●directly proportional to strength of current in coil i.e B proportional to I .

● depends upon Nate of core material ( soft iron)
