Rate law represents the experimentally observed rate of a reaction which depends upon the slowest step of the reaction

Rate constant k= proportionality constant of Rate Law equation

k= mole)^n-1 (L)^1-n s^-1

For first order reacction n=1

k= mol)^1-1 (L)^1-1 s^-1 =k is s^-1

For zero order n=0 k=mol L^-1 s^-1

For 2 order n=2 k= mol^-1 L s^-1
