what do we actually mean by that this mountain is 3527 m above sea level as the sea level may differ depending upon the places

Hey mate , here's your answer.....

By saying that a mountain is 3527 m above the sea level,We mean that,

the mountain is 3527 m high when measured from the land under the sea/the sea bed.

This method is used to measure the heights of mountains because the height of the water in the seas may be different... But, the land beneath the seas are almost at the same height.
