They enhances the taste and flavor besides that they also have nutritious value Mint and ginger are helpful in digestion ...They prevent indigestion and gas formation.. And saffron provides warmth to our body. ..according to Indian system of medicine..I.e. Ayurveda HOPE THIS WILL HELP YOU. . !! :)

we add spices like mint, saffron and ginger because they increase the taste of food and have some important nutrient value in it.
