Strait
A strait is a typically developed, narrow and traversal waterway which combines two extensive water bodies. Most ordinarily it is a channel of water which lies within two land bodies. Some straits are not passable, for instance, because they are extremely shallow, or due to an unnavigable ridge or archipelago.
