What do we call the highest or lowest point of quadratic that limits the range

Answer:
The graph of a quadratic function is called a parabola and has a curved shape. One of the main points of a parabola is its vertex. It is the highest or the lowest point on its graph. You can think of like an endpoint of a parabola
" The graph of a quadratic function is called a parabola and has a curved shape. One of the main points of a parabola is its vertex. It is the highest or the lowest point on its graph. You can think of like an endpoint of a parabola "
the other answer by the genius is absolutely correct, but I just wanted to state another point.
It is true that the graph of a quadratic is a parabola. But the parabola is no different shape than an ellipse with two infinitely far focii. And translations to a parabola is the same as moving the two infinitely far focci around the plane of the graph.
so, the possible answers to your question are the two focii of that ellipse. It just so happens that one of them is called the "vertex" and is visible on the graph. The other answer refers to it as the only answer. but think the other focus is the real answer.
again, I don't think this is the absolute or even a valid answer, I'm just a high school kid, how'd I know more than the genius. Still I think it was worth mentioning.
