♤ In Our nose, an olfactory receptors is present. They detect the smell of incense stick and set off a chemical reaction.
♤ As a result, a nerve impulse is generated which is transmitted to sensory nerve .
♤ The sensory nerve relay the information in the form of nerve impulse to the brain via spinal cord.
♤ The olfactory lobe present in the forebrain interpret the message and we feel the smell of an agarbatti.
