Enzymes are usually involve in metabolic reactions, they make the reactions to happen very fast. But during the biochemical reactions, enzymes are not consumed. The major function of the enzyme is to lower the activation energy of the reaction so that it can happen easily and very fast. At the end of the reaction, the enzymes will remain unconsumed.
