Hello,

as we know that Sri Lanka became independent in 1948 but it soon adopted the majoritarian is measure in 1956 after adopting a policy.

As it adopted the majoritarian is measure the following changes took place,

Sinhala what made the official language.

Buddhism was encouraged.

only the sceneries speaking person were allowed to hold a government post or study in government university or school.

Due to this Tamil speaking people began to feel alienated.

They began to demand some rights such as admission in government universities.

Freedom to do any job .

Soon they began to demand a separate Tamil elem .

This lead to the broke out of civil war within the country.

LTTE was formed under Prabhakaran which is a terrorist group.

does it destroyed the democratic country and people were not able to express their views very much clearly who are Tamil speaking and it destroyed the harmony within the country.
