Jadev Molai Payeng was just 15 or 16 years old when he decided to protect the reptiles in the deserted land by planting tress and providing them protection.
From then till 36 years, he dedicated himself and now has grown a forest which is spread up to 1300 acres (approximately).
He is known as "The Forest Man of India".
We learn from him that is man's responsibility to plant and allow the environment to grow. His story teaches us that even an individual's effort can bring a change in the world but one needs to have that kind of determination.
