Oxidation is process in which a substance lose electron to the other substance.
Reduction is process in which a substance gain electron of other substance.
Whenever a substance gain electron other lose electron and whenever a substance lose electron other gain electron which means oxidation and reduction both occur together in a reaction and that reaction is called redox reaction
