Eclipses occur when the sun or moon, depending on the situation, is obscured. ... Annular eclipse: A "ring of fire" solar eclipse that happens when the moon's size (as seen from Earth) isnot quite big enough to cover the entire sun. This happens when themoon is at apogee, or the closest approach to Earth in its orbit

Note:-this is not a copied data

During lunar eclipse , a shadow of moon cast on earth. the people which is under that shadow region able to see a full solar eclipse, but as you move away from the centre of shadow, the solar eclipse will be lower and lower.

But, according to your question , the case in which moon doesn't able to cover the whole sun is

(i)The sun become bigger in size (its already growing)

(ii)The sun comes closer to earth (as it is growing means it also coming closer)

(iii)The moon goes far from earth (its already going away from earth)

(iv)The earth goes towards the sun(converse of ii)

(v)The earth becomes larger in size.(Its a possibility no idea about future)

(iv)The moon become smaller in size

All the reasons are valid (i),(ii),(iii) and (iv) are already going on but very slowly

Point (v) is just a possibility.

the (vi) will happen to occur in future , when we start using the soil of moon.
