Answer:

Article II, Section 4 provides: The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.

Explanation:

The President may be removed from office by the process called Impeachment on grounds of proven misbehavior and inefficiency. The motion for impeachment can be initiated in either house of parliament. However, before impeaching the President a 14 days advance notice must be given of the said cause endorsed and signed by not less than 1/4th of the members of the house. If the motion of impeachment is taken up by Lok Sabha (Lower House), Rajya Sabha (Upper House) will sit in judgement and vice versa. If motion is sustained by a 2/3rd majority of members present and voting, the President stands impeachment and shall demit office.
