Arthropods have unique perivisceral cavity which is known as shizocoelous coelom. In shizocoelom, the mesoderm originates from the zygote. The early mesoderm cells are developed separately along with ectoderm and endoderm. They are protostomic in which the mouth appears first and then anus is formed in the embryo. The perivisceral coelom is a large, fluid filled cavity in which the major organs, digestive tube and sex organs are suspended.
