Eyes detect the light waves and convert it into electro-chemical impulses in neurons. These impulses then travel to the part of the brain which is responsible for vision which is the visual cortex. In this place, they are interpreted as a visual scene.

They provide us with the ability to receive and process visual details.

We perceive up to 80% of all impressions by means of our sight.
