Starfish move using tube feet, which consists of hundreds projections on the underside of their bodies. They are used for walking and catching of the prey. Starfish do not have a brain. They also do not have blood like other animals.

A starfish is marine creature that normally inhabits the deep ocean floors. Some species are venomous to human beings. Starfish do not attack humans, but can inflict painful stings with the release of venom, when they are accidently stepped upon or handled. There are more than 2000 species of starfish and not single one can survive in the freshwater.
