♠ ANSWER :
❇ ABSORPTION SPECTRUM : When a beam of light is passed through a solution of a chemical substance, then it is observed that spectrum obtained contain number of dark lines. Such spectrum is called absorption spectrum.
❇ EMISSION SPECTRUM : When radiations emitted from a source are incident on a prism and are separated into different wavelengths, then the spectrum is known as Emission spectrum.

absorption spectrum
is obtain when white light is first pass through the substance and the transmitted light is analysed in spectroscope. it consist of dark lines in otherwise continuous spectrum. it is always discontinuous.
Emissions spectrum
is obtained when radiation from the source are directly analysed in spectroscope. it consist of bright coloured lines separated by dark spaces. it can be continuous or discontinuous.
