The Carnatic War was fought among France, Britain and Portuguese. The reason behind the war was to capture the sea route leading India and to rule India because India at that time was known as "Golden Bird". India had a rich varieties of spices like cloves, cardamom, etc. The ruler of that time of India was too weak so as it couldn't save his country and kingdom. India was like a hollow country which was robbed by several rulers and was involved in itself a 'Cold War' (war fought within a country against their rulers itself).
