Pond size can vary from 1 to 5 acres for commercial fishery.Small fish pond can also be made if land is less. The Depth of pond should be 6-7 feet. Base of pond should be plain and sides should be sloppy. For controlling the water flow in and out put valve on the inlet or outlet pipes. Make fish pond in the month of February and put fish seed in March April. One kanal nursery pond can be made along with one acre fish pond so that seed fish(fingerlings) can be put in to it.
