Some features of the fibroblast cells are as follows:-
1. In the matrix of the connective tissue they help in synthesis of almost all the part.
2. It is considered as the chief matrix producing cell.
3. Cells in the fibrocytes are found to be inactive mostly.
4. Cells lose ability of synthesis as according to the age hence old fibroblasts will synthesize less fibroblasts.
5. It is a type of undifferentiated cells.
6. This type of cells may be converted in chondroblast or may be osteoblasts cells.
7. These type of cells help in the production of cartilage & bone in out body.
8. In the lower side of the skin some areolar tissue will be also present.
