Answer:

MOST Americans, bred up in the democratic tradition, sympathize with India's struggle for freedom. They dislike empire and imperialism and the domination and exploitation of one nation by another. And yet they are perplexed when they consider the Indian problem, wondering whether it is possible to build a united and progressive nation out of the seemingly infinite diversity that makes up the fabric of Indian life. They have heard so much of the separatist elements, of the conflicts of religion and culture, of the variety of languages, of the mediæval conditions in the semi-feudal regions of the Indian States, of social cleavages, of the general backwardness of Indian life, that doubts assail them whether it is possible to harmonize all these in a free and independent India. Can democracy be built upon such insecure foundations? Could India stand together and free if British rule were withdrawn?

THE POLITICAL UNITY IN INDIA

So this is my 8th blog and this one is really special , I have read a lot of magazines these days and the one question that always comes along is “ IS INDIA POLITICALLY UNITED ?” . Hence to answer this question , here are few details about what all elements and types of unities are required in order to be politically united .

So starting with the first is :

LINGUISTIC UNITY

Linguistic unity means that every language in the country ,whether regional or national language , must be treated equally , Respect to marginalized languages is a must .

India as a whole acquires many tribal groups that have their own language , these section of people are considered inferior and a threat to the culture

Language acts a barrier for many however,on the other hand it acts as a bridge linking people from one part to the other . Officially , there are 22 recognized languages out of which the govt and other citizens want Hindi to be considered the official language for the entire nation

If this decision falls in completely then people from the south or the Eastern part of the country will be left all along

Due to this ,it can lead way to political instability . Official documents should also not be Hindi dominating as it can harm the sentiments of people belonging to unaccessible region of the country .

2. GEOGRAPHICAL UNITY

Geographical unity means territorial expansion . People in India have freedom to reside in any part of country and move freely in the territory

State boundaries are also created for the interest of the people living there . States like Madhya Pradesh and chattigarh were divided followed by the division of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in the year 2014 .

All these divisions are done on the basis of ethnicity, language , work fair etc . For the best deal ,division is suitable as it allows people who speak same language to reside at one place .

All these features can provide a strong structure to unity. However massive scale division can be considered perilous and can undermine the sense of unity

Brotherhood and Unity in Politics (Dutch: Broederschap en Eenheid in de Politiek) is a political party in Suriname founded on 29 April 1973. It was originally founded as the Bush Negro Unity Party (Dutch: Bosnegers Eenheid Partij) to represent the Maroon community in interior areas of the country and was renamed in 1987. It turned its focus away from the promotion of a specific ethnicity's interests in 2009, although it still enjoys popularity among the Maroon community.
