Prejudice is the discrimination against people for example a particular group of people who are different from you by race or religion. It is a very wrong thing especially in democracies where everyone is equal (Right to Equality). Also a democratic nation is secular and protects its minorities.

Important note: Equality is when everyone has an equal opportunity to do what they want in life, so the disadvantaged sections of society can get aid from government.
