ABOUT ROWLATT ACT :

=>> Officially known as the Anarchical and Revolutionary Crimes Act, 1919.

=>> This act was passed by the Rowlatt Committee chaired by a judge, Sir Sidney Rowlatt.

=>> This act authorised the government to imprison any person without trial and conviction in a court of law

=>> This act gave the imperial authorities power to deal with all revolutionary activities.

=>> The Rowlatt Acts were repealed three years later in 1922.
