Rutherford is the person who discovered nucleus

he made a round light screen and placed polonium which always emits alpha particles in the middle he placed a very very very V V V thin gold foil

when alpha particles are aimed towards this gold foil the alpha particles are deflected

but by his observations when on average 10,000 alpha particles are aimed only one deflected back!!

that one particle was deflected because there was a collision between nucleus and the alpha particle

by this experiment Rutherford discovered the NUCLEUS
