Around 180 million years ago, a supercontinent broke up into various landmasses like Australia, Antarctica, Africa etc.
This ancient continent was called Gondana. The exact reason of the split of this supercontinent is still unknown to the scientists.
However, they believe it was due to the hot magma erruptions that this giant land was broken into smaller pieces
