Photo pollution is nothing but the light pollution caused to due excessive and misuse of artificial lights.

For example- At night, the light emitted by the street lights or bill boards etc. reaches the sky and gets trapped their, due to which an artificial brightness appear in the night sky. It confuses the nocturnal animals ( animal performing their metabolic activitiesat night).

Another is that, since the sky becomes bright, it becomes difficult for the scientists to look for stars in night sky using telescopes.

These lights also harm us, as it affects athe release of hormone melatonin.
