There are quite a few rivers and lakes in Rajasthan, out of which Luni and Chambal are known to be the two main rivers located in the state of Rajasthan.

Chambal is known to be the only perennial river in the state originating from the Vindhya range.

The rivers here are classified according to the drainage system:

Rivers with an inland drainage system(Kantli, Sahibi , Kakni, Ruparel), Rivers that drain into the Arabian Sea( Luni, Sabarmati, Mahi) and the rest that drains into the Bay of Bengal( Chambal, Banas, Banganga).

Rajasthan also has a wide variety of lakes such as the salt water lakes( Sambar, Deedwana, etc.) and the fresh water lakes( Pichhola, Ana Sagar, etc.)
