What do you know about the work division among men and women in the ancient past

Some activities may be done together like hunting animals and gathering fruits and vegetables from the forest areas. Both men and women joined together to form hunting groups.

Some other activities were reserved only for women such as cooking, bringing water etc but adventurous and risky tasks like hunting wild animals were reserved for men in other areas of the world.

The different tasks were divided between men and women.

Women mostly performed the family labour, like upbringing their offsprings, cooking, washing, and cleaning while men were hunters their duty was to provide the food, safety and the shelter to their families.

They went out to hunt, work and trade and women mostly stayed at home.
