The magnetic effect of electric current is the electromagnetic effect of electricity.

Statement

If a wire carrying electric current which is conducting in nature passes electricity in a straight manner, a magnetic field is formed in the shape of concentrated circles around the wire.

This magnetic field's direction will change when the direction of the electric current changes.

Proof

We know that a compass gets deflected from its usual north-south position when bought near a magnet. We can also see the deflecting of a compass when bought near a wire passing electric current. This effect stops when the current turns off.

This proves the magnetic effect of electric current.
