It is atype of substance that ionizes when dissolved in suitable ionizing solvents such as water. This includes most soluble salts, acids, and bases.A strong electrolyte is a solute that completely, or almost completely, ionizes or dissociates in solution. These ions are good conductors of electric current in the solution. simply we say that salt + water = electrolyte .

Usually electrolyte has ions (charged particles). i.e.salt + water = electrolyte
