Yes that's true, answer in back exercise is given as CaO.

So we have to work acc. to it

CaO is used for white washing and the equation is :

Ca(OH)2+CO2-->CaCO3+H2O

Hope it is helpfull....

the mixture of calcium oxode i.e. CaO(quick lime) with water forms a product named slaked limeCa(oH2)which is in its aqueuos state.

if white washing has to be done then ca(OH)2 is used

the reaction is as follows

Ca(OH)2 +CO2 -----CaCO3 +H2O

here CaCO3 stands for lime water

due 2 evolution of co2 gas finally a proper finish os obtained on walls.

marble is also made up of( caco3)

hope u like it dear!♡
