what do you mean by abscissa and ordinate? What is the co-ordinate of the origin?

ABSCISSA IS THE NUMBER WHICH IS ON X AXIS
FOR EXAMPLE (3,4)
SO 3 IS THE ABSCISSA OF (3,4)

ORDINATE IS THE NUMBER WHICH IS ON Y AXIS. FOR EXAMPLE (3,4)
SO 4 IS THE ORDINATE OF (3,4)

CO - ORDINATE IS BOTH OF THE NUMBERS WHICH ARE GIVEN IN THE BRACKET
FOR EXAMPLE (3,4)
So (3,4) ARE THE CO - ORDINATE OF (3,4)
