➡Acid is a substances that dissociates Hydrogen ion (H+) on disclosing with water.

There are mainly two types of acids-

Mineral Acids(the are stronger acids except carbonic acid which is weak)

Organic Acids (the are weaker acids)

For any acid to show acidic behaviour presence of WATER (H2O). This is because without water, acids do not form H+ which is must for showing acidic nature.

Acids are those substance which when react with metal to form salt and hydrogen gas. In other words, acids are those substances which have property to loose proton.
