Alchemy is a science, and very famous alchemists are the father of modern medicine, Issac Newton, etc. Often Alchemy is associated with the Philosopher’s/Alchemist’s Stone which provides a liquid which turns lead in to gold and when drunk turns the drinker immortal. This is actually false as the then alchemist, writer and propagater of this item actually meant it as an euphemism and metaphor.
